The Parish Church of St Mary Magdalene, Bolney

Holding your personal details

The law on Data Protection changed in the UK on 25th May 2018.

Our policy is to conform to the new legislation – the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

We will hold and process data about individuals either where necessary and provided for by church law (for instance our Electoral Roll), or having obtained explicit consent from the data subject.

We also now need specific positive consent from anyone who has a declaration in place for gift aid.

We cannot assume that because a donor completed a previous form that they consent to us holding their data.

You can give consent for us to store relevant data about you (to allow us to send you information by email, or to administer a  rota you may be enrolled on, or specific positive consent from anyone who has a declaration in place for gift aid) by filling in a Consent Form.

Consent forms are also available on the welcome table in Church.

Please return the consent form to church or hand to Claire George as soon as possible so that our records can be up to date before the act comes into place.

Further information is given on our Privacy Notice and on the Church notice board.
